Finding courage to live your dreams through Mindfulness (The Mas Sajady Way)

Mas Sajady
“A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work.” –Colin Powell

They say that the best dreams happen when you are awake. It’s true. There is a great happiness and excitement when we imagine ourselves doing something that we love or becoming something that we aspire to be. How great will it really be if we are truly able to fulfill it?

There is no question that every human being living here on earth has a dream. Whether it’s to become a medical professional, an engineer, an architect, a teacher, or whatsoever, we want to live our dreams. Sometimes, we even find ourselves wondering how were we able to do something we do not actually love. But because of circumstances like practicality and fear of trying something new, we are afraid to live our dreams. We fear that we may be choosing something that’s not right for us.

Actually, living your dreams could certainly be difficult if you live in so much fear, doubt, and anxiety. When passion is not enough to conquer these unnecessary feelings, what could be the armor to overcome them and become what you aspire to be?
It’s simple. Become more mindful every day through mindfulness meditation (Mas Sajady Meditation).

The Antagonists in you that hold you back in reaching your dreams

Mas Sajady Programs Fulfilling your dreams require a lot of perseverance and determination. If you are passionate, if you are hard working, or if you are ambitious, then living your dreams will never be impossible. However, of course, there is always an antagonist in us that is against us in achieving our aspirations. Yes, you read it right. The antagonists are inside of us.

You might think that the antagonists are your parents, your friends, your judgmental neighbors or whoever they are. But when we come down to all the roots and causes, the antagonists are inside of you. They’re just there waiting, watching, and fighting your optimistic side to become something else. Here are some of them:

    1. Doubts. Dreams and doubts always have a place in our minds. With them, our minds seem to be involved in a push and pull relationship wherein we keep wanting then we end up giving up.  When we think about our dreams, we are happy and we feel excited about achieving it. We think that we can do anything to reach it. However, when our doubts fill our minds, we seem to become a person who holds no capabilities to own dreams and passions. Lack of confidence is such a big factor on why one isn’t able to perform efficiently. With questions and doubts, you might be thinking that you are lacking and you have no skills or talent to make it into the competitive cut. Hence, doubts are the antagonists in you that make you back out by questioning your abilities, knowledge and even your dream itself.

   2.    Fear. When we dream, we feel different kinds of fear. We fear that we may fail in achieving our dreams. We fear that once we able to reach such dream, it is not really what we wanted to be. We fear that we may be rejected. We fear of the changes accompanied in achieving our dreams. There are so many fears in our minds that they slowly build up to anxiety. Fear is evident when we try to find our right calling. But instead of perceiving fear as a worse antagonist in achieving your dream, reverse it.asc Take it as a good sign that without fear, your dreams may not be something that wilcl challenge you.  Look at fear as something that should be there when you are dreaming.  This could actually mean that you are dreaming something bigger than what you can ever imagine. Such thought will make you think that your heart and mind are bigger than your fears.

   3.  Insecurities. You might hear major comparisons and opinions from everyone around you whom you think are antagonists in achieving your dreams. However, when we are affected by these, they are not the antagonists anymore. The antagonists will be you. When you let them enter your minds and you truly end up comparing yourself to others, you might be devoured by your own insecurities. Such antagonist will slap you hard and make you think that you are not cut above the rest. When you are affected by these, you make it look like you are your own insecurities.

No one likes to feel insecure about his or herself. Somehow, we always want to find a way to get out of such mindset. Since it is all warped in the mind, you also have to start conditioning your mind. Through a mindful activity like meditation (Mas Sajady Meditation), there could be a big leap to help you battle your insecurities.

Mas Sajady Reviews  4.    Psychological time dimensions. It’s true that everyone has a past. What’s uncertain is our future. Whether you are too affected by the past or too focused about the end results, you are lost in your presence. The present is all yours yet you give opportunity for the past and the future to bother you. For the future, when we are too focused in the end results, we become impatient and too excited. While for the past, when we are too busy about reminiscing about a certain event,  there is a tendency to be happy or be sad about it. Now, how does this affect our dreams? Since our dreams are something that we may have been wanting to pursue ever since day one, our present selves seem to be very happy about the future.  We’ve been wanting to achieve it since we were young and youthful so our past, present, and future are interrelated with each other.

The past and future affect you because they take away so much attention that you should give to this present moment. As what mindfulness aims to bring, it promotes better self-awareness and presence. Meditation (Mas Sajady Program  Reviews) even gives you an efficient “me time” wherein you can solely communicate with yourself and sort things to achieve your dreams.

  5.   Expectations turned to be disappointments. Since we are aspiring to be something and we think that it would make us happy someday, we have expectations. We become so excited. Now, how do expectations become an unexpected antagonist in achieving your dream? Well, since the thought of us realizing our dreams and becoming who we want to be excites us, we unconsciously create expectations. Our fancy imagination is an expectation itself. Actually, expectations are good because they signal positivity in your mind. What makes them your antagonist in you is when your expectations become your disappointment. Disappointment makes you feel upset. Disappointment might even trigger you to lose your motivation and attention towards your dreams.

  6. Personal excuses. The abovementioned antagonists are different from your personal excuses. They are all created by the mind while your personal excuses may be factors that determine your physical surroundings. Dreams may take too long to be realized. Somehow, we end up saying excuses like, “I am already too old for that.” Or “That course would take so much of my time and money.”

When this happens, you have to reevaluate yourself again. Reflect about your dreams. Do you love your dreams to the extent of risking things just to achieve it? If not, then you are someone who thinks that your dream is something that you only love to think about. You just love the idea of it and it is not something that you really want to achieve.

  7. Pain brought by failure. Failure means you have tried something to be able to achieve your dreams. However, due to the pain it had cost you, you are now afraid to try again. Because you have experienced failure first-hand, the tendency is to be down about it or be stronger about pursuing your true calling. Pain makes it difficult to find the courage in you.

If you have failed to achieve your goals, here’s to reminding you that you have made a great risk in achieving something that is bigger than you. You have geared a lot of perseverance, courage, patience, but due to some circumstances, you have failed. “You have failed.” The words might dishearten you but when we reflect and reflect about it, you have tried. “At least, you tried.” Such words are evidence of courage. Failing still means that you are a courageous fighter. You might want to try again and be more mindful about yourself. Be more connected with yourself.

Mas Sajady Meditation Be connected with yourself and achieve your aspirations through mindfulness

Igniting your passion and finding your true calling are some things that make us excited about life. However, they are also the hardest things to achieve. They certainly can’t be achieved in just an instant.

Little do we know that recalling your passions and realizing your dreams could be easier through mindfulness. Well, to disclaim it, the path to your dreams can still be difficult. However, through mindfulness, you’ll surely enjoy the process along the way.

To become more mindful, you might have to do something that promotes self-awareness. Some of them are meditation (Mas Sajady Meditation) and exercises. They actually help you to be connected with yourself and aim to condition your mind. They could help you to choose the right decisions and fight the antagonists in you. Since doubts, fear, insecurities, expectations, etc are all made by your mind, you have to build a mind that stays positive even after every struggle you are fighting. What’s most important to note is that it’s more difficult to fight when your own opponent is yourself.

Be more mindful and stay connected with yourself today. Help yourself in achieving your aspirations through these activities that promote mindfulness.

Read good books that will motivate you. The thing about books is that they let you see things that are always new to you. They let you discover a character, a quote, or an event that may be similar to you and may comfort you. How such character or author enables you to be uplifted by a certain passage helps you to become more aware of yourself. Sometimes, you may not be sure of a thing but when you read a certain book, you easily become enlightened. You are helped. Books might even let you experience your dreams. Yes, some books may be a work of fiction but they are created with mindfulness. Hence, it also reciprocates mindfulness. It brings out the mindful you that you are longing for.

Stop overthinking. This is easier said than done. Usually, you overthink because you have nothing to do. When you overthink, you either appreciate things that surround you but more often, you are triggered to think negative things. Don’t over-analyze your situation. Just stay in the present moment. Why? When you over-analyze things, you think about the future or you think about what happened to you two days ago. You connect things until you become frustrated. That’s something you have to avoid, becoming frustrated about the present moment.

As what have been mentioned, avoiding yourself to overthink is a hard habit to break. Instead of saying “Stop overthinking.”, the right thing to say is “Become busy of the things that interest you.” Activities that hype you up and give you challenge are things worth pursuing to. You can even try to discover new things. Such activities will fill your mind with so much excitement and positivity and this will be the best way to stop yourself from overthinking.

Trust yourself. Trust is certainly essential in a relationship. You and your dreams are actually in an imaginary relationship. And to build a steady relationship, you have to build a foundation that will not be disturbed. You have to build trust. Trusting yourself that you can achieve your dreams will be first of the many steps you will take but it certainly covers a big leap along the way.

Mas SajadyDe-stress by becoming one with nature. Sometimes, you are just too stressed about the things that you see and scare you. You are still as passionate as ever but since you are too stressed about the things that usually surround you, you end up on the edge of thinking whether you can pursue it or not. But stress is normal. Once you feel that you are too stressed about your surroundings, you might need to take a stop and breathe. It’s especially soothing if you are feeling the breeze of the ocean but traveling is not necessary. Sometimes, you can just sit or brisk walk and appreciate the green sceneries that you have never noticed before.

Meditate. Last but not the least, meditate. Since one of the best ways to achieve self-awareness is meditation, you might want to try this. Meditation is convenient and fascinating. When you are too scared, anxious, or you have too many doubts on yourself, meditate. Meditation helps you visualize your goals and keeps you on track about your random waves of thoughts. Yes, they are random and your thought might shock you once you meditate. However, all you need is practice. Do it in a regular basis until you harness the courage in you. And if you struggle in meditating, you can always find help from the programs of Mas Sajady. His programs are usually centered in the frequencies of life and he helps people achieve total abundance in certain areas of their lives. If you want to know more, you can check his site here.
